What an amazing day! RIF@Bristol was lucky enough to be invited to take part in this year’s “Venturefest Wales” held at the Swalec cricket stadium in Cardiff on Tuesday 29th September.
Together with over a thousand delegates representing start-up businesses, SMEs, consultancy firms, universities and business support networks, Mark, Farid and Salim from RIF@Bristol celebrated Welsh innovation and entrepreneurship at this leading annual event. There was a genuine buzz in the air with delegates and exhibitors truly enthused from taking advantage of the rich programme of activities that included motivational speakers from industry leaders, business growth support workshops and live demonstrations from local inventors and secondary school students.
It was a great opportunity for RIF@Bristol to present its new stand at the event and to offer its free robotics and automation support to Welsh companies. The level of interest in the ECHORD++ programme, and in particular the RIF instrument, was extremely encouraging and we got to meet so many motivated people. Throughout the day we spoke in depth to over thirty different organisations expressing an interest in engaging with RIF@Bristol ranging from local SMEs to the Welsh government.
We are delighted to have attended Venturefest Wales and have already started building relationships with Welsh companies and business support networks looking to enable robotic solutions through RIF@Bristol. One exciting early development is the partnership with the Welsh Government to provide robotic & automative support to its “SMARTInnovation” initiative, the 7.5 year innovation support programme offering innovation and R&D support to Welsh companies
