Meet AAWSBE1 at hi Tech & Industry Scadinavia

Hi Tech & Industry Scadinavia is the biggest tech and industry expo in Scandinavia. The event, taking place from 3 – 5 October 2017 at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark, sets the frame for knowledge sharing, inspiration, business and network for everyone working within or related to the industry. Within the sub-expo focused on automation you can meet a range of Danish and foreign exhibitors, who are bringing their newest products to the event. One of these exhibitors is the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), showcasing the ECHORD++ experiment AAWSBE1 which is run by DTI in conjunction with Refind Technologies and STENA Recycling.

AAWSBE1’s purpose is to improve the sorting of batteries inside Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The goal is to distinguish potential battery-containing items from residuals in a WEEE small electronics stream, as well as to presort battery streams for more efficient recycling of the batteries.
