CARLOS III UNIVERSITY OF MADRID (UC3M)

Carlos III University of Madrid was established in 1989, and from the outset it was intended to be a relatively small, innovative, public university, providing teaching of the highest quality and focused primarily on research. The mission of Carlos III University of Madrid is to contribute to the improvement of society through teaching of the highest quality and cutting-edge research in line with stringent international guidelines. The University aspires to excellence in all its activities, with the aim of becoming one of the top universities in Europe. Five degrees of Engineering EURACE EPS have the accreditation seal that guarantees the quality of acquired knowledge, practical orientation, the ability to solve engineering problems, make designs as well as communication skills and management graduates. The rest of the degrees in engineering is in the process of obtaining it. The Planning and Learning Group started on 2003 at the Department of Computer Science. The group is specialized on automated planning, scheduling and machine learning technologies. They are experts in the application of previous technologies to the control of robotic systems, both in the development of low level skills and the management of high level behaviours. The group has experience in the use of different robotic platforms and application areas such as social robots and rehabilitation robotics.
